Michael Sy received his MFA in Communications and New Media Design from Art Center College of Design and his Bachelors of Architecture from USC. He worked at several prestigious architectural firms in Los Angeles before establishing his firm service, which creates innovative hybrid identity design through the integration of visual, information, and spatial design. He has taught at Otis College of Art and Design and is currently teaching a course in digital graphics at USC.
This workshop will explore the use of no cost and operating system free online tools such as blogging (“Blogger”) and photo management (“Flickr”) software to create a basic website to present artwork or a portfolio. We will also look at how to secure a domain name for your site.

Survival Workshop Series for Artists is programmed by Atelier Zero and sponsored by Pharmaka. This workshop provides various technical and survival tips to visual artists, particularly the ones whose primary focus is on contemporary painting.
