Michael Sy received his MFA in Communications and New Media Design from Art Center College of Design and his Bachelors of Architecture from USC. He worked at several prestigious architectural firms in Los Angeles before establishing his firm service, which creates innovative hybrid identity design through the integration of visual, information, and spatial design.
He has taught at Otis College of Art and Design and is currently teaching a course in digital graphics at USC.
This workshop will help you to understand working with digital images (types, formats, and resolution). While there will be some basic discussion on image adjustment, the emphasis on this workshop is guide to you through the best ways to optimize and compress your images for electronic delivery (email and the web). Our primary tool will be Photoshop, but we will also consider some lower cost alternatives.
